Halil İnalcık’ın "Milli Mücadele Tarihi" Kitap İncelemesi

"Hocaların Hocası" Halil İnalcık, Türk tarihçiliğinin duayenidir. Onun kaleme Milli Mücadele Tarihi, okumak istediğim kitaplardandı. Özellikle tarih araştırmacılığı ve Milli tarihimiz elbette ki detaylı şekilde öğrenilmesi gereken bir ödev gibi olduğunu düşünür ve inanırım. Zorluklardan bir anka kuşu doğmamız bir alışkanlıktan öte sanki genetik mirasımız. Milli Mücadele Tarihi(1908-1923) kitabı Cumhuriyet’in kuruluşuna giden zorlu yolu sıradan bir kronoloji olmanın ötesine taşıyan en önemli eserlerden biridir. Kurtuluş Savaşımızın adım adım hangi şartlarda hangi zaferlerle, diplomatik, sosyolojik ve fikri altyapıyı derinlemesine inceleyen bu eser, o zaman ki şartları anlamak isteyen her okurun başucu kitabı olma niteliği taşımaktadır.

Halil İnalcık ve "Milli Mücadele Tarihi" Eserinin Amacı

Kronik Kitap yayınları Milli Mücadele tarihi kitabı 199 sayfa ve satır satır çizerek not almanız gereken çok değerli bir eser. Halil İnalcık, Osmanlı ve Türk tarihi üzerindeki muazzam birikimini bu eserinde Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin hiçlikten adım adım nasıl doğduğuna ilişkin değerlendirmelerini anlatmaktadır. Kitap, Milli Mücadele’yi sadece 1919-1922 yılları arasında değerlendirmemek gerektiğine ilişkin düşüncelerini de belirtmektedir. Yani Kurtuluş bir askeri süreçten çok daha fazlasıdır. Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun çöküşü, Mondros Mütarekesi ve İtilaf Devletlerinin ülkemiz üzerindeki ideallerini, tuzaklarını ve Türk milletinin direniş ruhunun tarihsel kökleri olmak üzere süreci bir bütün olarak ele alınır.

İnalcık tarihsel bilgileri aktarırken belgelere dayalı, nedensellik ilişkisini ön planda tutan ve nesnel bir anlayışı benimser. Bu kıymetli eser, okuyucuya bir kahramanlık anlatısının ötesinde, ince ince işlenmiş siyasi ve diplomatik zekayı da anlatır.

7 kuşaktan fazla bir geçmiş ile Adana'lı olduğumu zaman zaman yazılarımda belirtmiştim. Adana(Çukurova), Ermeni zulmünü yaşayan bir şehir. "Kaç Kaç" olayı; Ermenilerin halka acımasızca saldırılarından kaçmak için Türk'ün dağlara Toroslara doğru kaçmasıdır. Mecburiyettir bu bu kaçışta halkın birçoğu açlıktan ve hastalıktan da ne yazık ki hayatını kaybetmiştir. Kitaptan şöyle bir alıntı paylaşmak istiyorum.

"Fransızların işgal kuvvetleri yalnız değildi, onların gözetimi altında birçok Ermeni intikama susamış bir halde memlekete geldiler, türlü yıldırı hareketlerine ve cinayetlere giriştiler."
